7 Day Tour example

“Route options are not guaranteed. Obviously, kayaking is susceptible to wind, weather and other factors our guides take into consideration when planning tour routes. Nature-willing, we generally visit the following amazing destinations on this tour. We stay at each campsite for 1-2 nights, depending on weather, currents and your group’s needs and desires. During our stay on these islands, we will be able to paddle and explore the amazing things every location has to offer. To start your multiday tour, we will meet at our Adventure Centre and your private kayak tour guide will go over the finer points of expedition kayaking: paddle technique, boat safety, proper packing of a kayak, etc. before launching from the harbour or other launch site.”

Baders Beach
to
Portland Island

We will drive to our launch site at Baders Beach where your guide will go over the finer points of expedition kayaking: paddle technique, boat safety, proper packing of a kayak, etc. After packing, we will launch from Baders Beach on Salt Spring and spend our day paddling through Sansum Narrows, enjoying its remote and gorgeous scenery. We then will paddle around the Southern end of Salt Spring Island and make our crossing over to Portland Island Provincial Marine Park. Upon arrival you can choose to explore the island or relax aboard the Virginia Marie whilst your tent and bedding is setup for you ashore. Dinner will be prepared based upon your pre-chosen dietary requirements. Fresh caught seafood, such as Dungeness Crab, Spot Prawns and Salmon is often found on the menu. Portland Island offers many beaches, coves and hiking trails to explore. Harbour Seals, river otters, Great Blue Heron and the ever iconic Bald Eagle are just some of the wildlife to see in the area. Sunset Drinks and evening snacks will be served before sundown.

Portland Island
to
Prevost Island

In the morning, we will learn to predict the day’s tides and currents over Salt Spring Organic Coffee and come up with a plan for the day. Our day will be spent paddling over to Prevost Island, making a lunch stop where it suits us on a beautiful beach, and peaking into the many bays teeming with wildlife that Prevost has to offer. In the evening, such as every evening, you can spend aboard the Virginia Marie. Offering Bathrooms & Hot Showers, Full Galley with drinks, snacks and dinner served aboard cooked by your private chef.

Prevost Island
to
Wallace Island

A wonderful paddle down Trincomali Channel will be in store for you. Sandwiched between Galiano and Salt Spring Islands, this channel is a ton of fun, with big cliffs and stunning beaches. We will make a lunch stop at one of these amazing boat-access-only beaches. Afterwards we will continue on our way to Wallace Island with its personal kayak campsite just for us. Wallace Island offers beaches, coves and offshore islets to explore. Bald eagles, black-tailed deer and mink are common in the park, as well as harbour seals, sea lions and river otters.

Wallace Island
to
Baders Beach

Our last day on the water will be an exciting one as you finish off your full circumnavigation of the Island! Paddling around the Northern tip of Salt Spring Island, you will see a great view of the many islands North of us, and as you turn South you will paddle past Vesuvius Bay, and head back into Sansum Narrows to finish off the paddle at Baders Beach. We will serve you a great last lunch on a beach along the route and make sure you are back and ready for your next adventure by 5:00 pm.
